Jeffrey A. Cross 71of Lorida, Florida went home to be with his Lord on Sunday March 22, 2026, at the Advent Health Sebring Hospital. Jeffrey was born on July 31,1954 in Three Rivers Michigan. He was the eldest son of Sarah (Wolfe) and Arthur Cross. Jeffrey grew up in Mendon, Michigan where he graduated in 1972 after graduating High School Jeffrey joined the Army in 1973, working as a firefighter. Jeffrey married Cindy Loper on August 18, 1977. Jeffrey moved to Ohio after leaving the military where he worked for the Ohio State Department of Corrections. He Retired as a supervisor after 13 years. Jeffrey and Cindy moved to FT. Pierce, Florida in 2006 and then moved to Lorida, Florida in 2012. Jeffrey was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR, raising chocolate labs and trip to Disney World riding the Pirates of the Caribbean. He loved being with his family and friends when they all could get together. Jeffrey is preceded in death by both his parents, sister Judy Cross, son in law Jay Schreiber, nephew Justin Delong and great granddaughter Allison. Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife Cindy, daughters Loretta Cross, Francis Shaw, Sara (Matt) Cooke, Rebecca Cross, Brother William “Bill” (Nancy) Cross, sister Janice Cross. 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
