Janet Lois Pell, 63, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Sunday July 5, 2014 at the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring. Janet was born on April 25, 1951 in Chicago, IL to parents Phyllis M. (Radtke) and Daniel S. Giroux. Janet moved to Lake Placid from Tennessee two years ago and was a pharmacy technician with the Walgreens in Lake Placid. Janet enjoyed going to the beach and loved spending time with her family and friends and was of the Lutheran faith. Janet is preceded in death by her father Daniel and she is survived by her loving daughter Casey Pell; mother, Phyllis Giroux; and brothers Michael, Douglas and Dennis Giroux. A memorial service to celebrate Janet's life will be held 6:00 PM, Thursday (today) July 10, 2014 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Rev. Richard A. Norris officiating.
