James Norton Stamm, 82, of Lake Placid passed away Friday night June 19, 2015 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center. James was the son of Daisy Price and Harvey Norton Rogers who was born on August 1, 1932 in Siloam Spring, Arkansas. Mr. Stamm served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged James went to work as a weather specialist with the Nation Weather Service in West Palm Beach. He has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 28 years. James enjoyed fishing, TV shows, working on his computer and loved being with his family and friends. Mr. Stamm is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Patsy; son, Joe Allen Stamm and a half brother Joe R. Patten. A graveside service with military honors by the US Army will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL.
