James Leo Rubright, Sr., "Indiana Jim", 82, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord early Thursday morning August 13, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. James was the son of Ina M. Bowsher and Willard T. Rubright who was born on March 27, 1933 in Lafayette, Indiana. James served his country in the US Navy during both Korea and Vietnam with honors. He moved to Lake Placid from Indiana in 1994. Mr. Rubright was of the Christian faith. Indiana Jim as he was known to all his friends enjoyed fishing, working on small engines and telling stories. He loved to be around his family and friends. James is survived by his loving children, Jill Ridge, Jaine Weaver, Jennifer Hinson, James Leo Rubright, Jr., Roger Rubright and Peter Rubright; numerous grandchildren; many great grandchildren and two brothers. A service to celebrate James's life will be held in Indiana.
