James L, Currey, 80, of Lake Placid, FL went home to be with his Lord on Friday, March 7, 2025, at his residence.  He was born on November 7, 1944, at the Panama Canal Zone, Panama.  He was the son of Maria (Rojas) and Ward Stanley Currey.  James has been a resident of Lake Placid for the last ten years, moving here from Nashville, Tennessee.  He was a retired salesman and entrepreneur in the retail sales industry.  James was of the Christian faith who enjoyed the swap meets, looking for the bargain, fishing the local lakes, and going to the local restaurants for a great meal.  James is survived by his loving daughters Kelly Ann Switzer;  Ann Pohlman and his special friend Kathy Pawson. Also his dog Rambo. In keeping with James' wishes, the family will celebrate his life in private.
