Obituary

James D. Cagle, Sr., 79, the devoted husband of 53 years of Marie and loving father of James, Jr., and Russell closed the final chapter of his life Friday after saying goodbye to his family and peacefully taking his final journey home to be with his Father in Heaven. James is also survived by his sister, Virginia Gray and sister-in-law, Dorothea Seideman, three grandchildren, Sarah Heller, Matthew Cagle and Samuel Cagle and three great- grandchildren, Kayle Cagle, Elaina Heller and Alice Heller. A veteran James served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War, a member of American Legion Avon Park Post 69, Life Member VFW Post 4300 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lake Placid Lodge 2374 and was of the Catholic Faith. James retired from the Dade County Parks and Recreation several year ago and becoming a permit resident of Highlands County. His life touched all those he met; he had a quick wit and contagious laugh which never failed to life the mood of those around him. His numerous nephews and niece will also join his family and friends in remembering the love that shone through his eyes. James will be tenderly laid to rest in a graveside memorial service to celebrate his life 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 31, 2012 at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Placid with Father Michael Cannon celebrating.
