James Robert Adams

James Robert Adams, 79, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away on September 2, 2026, in Sebring, Florida.

Jimmy was born on February 12, 1947, in Clewiston, Florida. He proudly served as a Weapons Mechanic in the United States Air Force, carrying with him the dedication, strength, and sense of service that were a part of who he was throughout his life.

Above all else, Jimmy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Paula Adams, and his greatest pride was always his family. He was the loving father of Sharonna Lightsey, Lauren Adams, Yvonne Stein, Vicki Markham and Gretchen Lamb. He was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who brought tremendous love and joy into his life.

Funeral service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Scott Seawinds Funeral Home in Lake Placid, Florida.

Jimmy will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by the family he loved so dearly. His greatest joy and proudest legacy will always be the love he gave to his family.
