Jacquelene Ann Groff, 63, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Thursday night at the Advent Health Hospital in Lake Placid.  Jacquelene was the daughter of Mary Collins (Green) and Charles Groff who was born in the United Kingdom on July 24, 1956. Jacquelene has been a resident of Lake Place since 2006 moving here from Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  She was a retired retail sales clerk, who after her retirement became a caregiver to her friends in need. Jacquelene was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed shopping the local stores for those special bargains, taking care of the animals, and watching her TV shows.  She loved to be with her family and friends any time they could get together. Jacquelene is preceded in death by her loving parents Charles and Mary. She is survived by her loving sisters; Helen Fletcher, Tina Groff, Kathleen Hannah, brothers; Michael and Charles Groff, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, also many family and friends in the United Kingdom.  In keeping with Jacquelene's wishes private services for the family will be held at a later date.
