Jack Robert Chamberlain, Jr., 67, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Tuesday evening October 28, 2014 at his residence. Jack was born on October 15, 1947 in Warwick, NY to parents Maize Rose (Decker) and Jack Robert Chamberlain, Sr. Mr. Chamberlain served his country honorably in the US Marine Corps. Jack has been a public servant working with many agencies starting with the Florida Division of Parks where he was a ranger and retiring with over 30 years of service as a Law Enforcement Officer. Mr. Chamberlain moved to Lake Placid from Arcadia in 2003 and was of the Baptist faith. Jack enjoyed working around the house, woodworking in his shop, fishing and loved spending time with his friends and family. Mr. Chamberlain is preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years Phyllis, sons; Johnny Glenn and Anthony Scott Johnson. He is survived by his loving children; Jackie Lynn Turner, Bobbie Jean Chamberlain and James Robert Johnson (Pamela), 6 grandchildren; Jordan and Maigan Johnson, Angela, Robert and Laura Alderman and Jacob Connell, five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate Jack's life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday November 2, 2014 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd. with Pastor Wayne Godwin officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to Phyllis.
