Ingeburg Waters, 71, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning March 27, 2013 at her friend's residence. She was born on March 1, 1942 in Mainz, Germany to parents Henriette (Weis) and Peter Schmitz. Inge met and married her husband Edward Waters (US Army) in Germany before coming to Mt. Vision, NY where she lived for the next 38 years. She was extremely proud when she became a US Citizen in 1972. Inge was predeceased by her husband Edward in 1998. Mrs. Waters moved to Lake Placid 14 years ago from New York after retiring as a dining manger with the New York State University. She was an active member and active volunteer with the Lake Placid Women of the Moose Lodge 2374. Mrs. Waters loved spending time with both her family and friends. Inge was known as superb cook, enjoyed traveling, and loved to go fishing. She is survived by her loving daughters, Karin Waters (Eric Hahs) of CA, Debra Sorell (Greg) of MO; granddaughter Jennifer Sorell of MO; sisters Erika Jung of Sprendlingen, Germany, Karin Brandon-Sammt of Weisbaden, Germany and a brother, William Schneider of Zeesen, Germany; and special friend, Theresa "Terry" Pfeiffer; sister-in-law Betty Waters of NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
