Herman Pearce, 83, of Venus, went to be with his Lord on Sunday evening January 18, 2015. He was born in Basinger, FL on February 6, 1931 to parents Ella Walker and Julius Caesar Pearce.

Mr. Pearce was one of nine children and moved to Venus as a young boy. He served his country with honors in the US Army. Mr. Pearce was a rancher who enjoyed working cows, being outdoors, fishing and spending time at the creek. He also loved being with his family and friends. Mr. Pearce was a member of the Venus United Methodist Church.

Mr. Pearce is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melissa Lynn Pearce; three sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his loving daughter, Kayleen Murphy (Donnie); step-sons, Kyle and Kevin Miller; three grandchildren, Donald Murphy, Kendra Murphy and Gabby Murphy; one great granddaughter, Claire Murphy; two sisters, Frances Hendry and Lou Howard; brother, Lonnie Pearce; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Pearce's life will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday (today) January 21, 2015 at the Venus United Methodist Church 960 County Road 731 Venus, FL with Pastor Tommy Sheppard officiating.
