Herbert Wells McClellan, 89, of Lake Placid, went home to be with his Lord on February 27, 2026, at his residence.  Herbert was a native Floridian who was born on January 12, 1937, in Sebring, and he was the son of Florrie (Mock) and H. B. McClellan.  Herbert served his country with honors in the United States Air Force.  Herbert was a longtime local caladium farmer here in Lake Placid.  He was of the Christian faith who enjoyed being outdoors working the fields, creating different plants, fishing the local lakes and hunting.  He loved to be with family and friends and never knew a stranger. Herber is survived by his loving son, Matthew (Jamie), four grandchildren, Noah McClellan, Victoria, Kayden and Alexandria Bourne. A service to celebrater Herbert's life will be held 11AM, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Scott Funeral Home, 504 W.
