Obituary
Helene Therese Hamrick, 88, of Lake Placid went be with her Lord on Sunday morning July 27, 2014 at her residence. She was born on February 19, 1926 in Champlain, NY to parents Bernadette (Laurin) and Wilfred Hebert.
She moved to Lake Placid in 1993 from the Miami-Homestead area after Hurricane Andrew. She was a retired rural route letter carrier with the US Postal Service. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Episcopal Church in Lake Placid where she managed their original thrift shop for 9 years.
Mrs. Hamrick served as a WAVE during the Korean War, was a member of the Lake Placid Women's Club, volunteered at the Lake Placid Driver License Station and loved to play cards, puzzles and her favorite "Bingo".
Mrs. Hamrick is preceded in death by her loving son, Larry and husband Robert. She is survived by her loving children, Erica Roller (Tim), Dana Hamrick-Kostic (Tom), Robert Hamrick (Brenda) and Trevor Hamrick; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Per Mrs. Hamrick's wishes service will be private for the family.
