Helen S. Moon, 92, of Lake Placid formally of Tampa passed away Friday night January 29, 2010 at the Lake Placid Health Care Center. She was a native of Tampa, born on February 28, 1917 to parents Welborn D. and Bertie (Darden) Stone. Mrs. Moon moved to Lake Placid in 1993 and was a homemaker, a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moon was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Thomas Moon, Jr. Mrs. Moon is survived by her loving sons; Douglas Moon and Dawson T. Moon, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A service celebrating Mrs. Moon's life will be held 11 AM Monday February 8, 2010 at the Memorial United Methodist Church 500 Kent Avenue, Lake Placid with Rev. Dale Schanely celebrating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Helen's memory to the Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Alzheimer's Association 9365 US Highway 19 North Suite B, Pinellas Park, FL 33782.
