Helen Ajhar, 72, of Lake Placid, FL went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. Helen was born on December 7, 1953, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Barbara F. Ferguson and James O’Brien Jr. Helen has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past thirty years, moving here from Miami. She was a retired office manager working in the nursing care industry. Helen was of the Catholic faith who enjoyed visiting Vegas, going to the local garage sales looking for that special bargain and collecting different collectables. Helen loved to be with family and friends whenever they could get together. She is preceded in death by her loving husband; Bob Ajhar and sister; Tina Brookbank. She is survived by her loving mother, Barbara Ferguson, son; Tony Ajhar, granddaughter; Giana Ahjar, grandsons; Talon and Trinity Ajhar, sisters; Delores McDaniel, Debra Hooks, Dorothy Berkett, Cindy Hamilton, brothers; James O’Brien and Teddy Ferguson, and many nieces and nephews. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life service to celebrate Helen’s life on September 19, 2026
