Hattie M. Golden, 94, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Tuesday evening June 22, 2010 at her residence. She was born on July 10, 1915 at Natural Bridge, Virginia to parents Willie and Gracie Lee Stinnett. She moved to Lake Placid 10 years ago from Ohio and was a homemaker. Mrs. Golden was active in several service organizations including the Ladies of the Moose Lake Placid Moose Lodge 2374 and was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Golden was preceded in death by her parents and a son Thomas and is survived by her loving children; Mrs. Freda Mitchell (Carl), Margaret Rhodes (James) and Rev. Lawrence E. Moody (Joy), 6 grandchildren; Jimmy and Jeffrey Rhodes, Tommy Moody, Melody Frazier, Chavonne Moody and Sabrina Tolbertson, 9 great grandchildren; Justin, Mathew and Maverick Tolbertson, Rachael Rhodes, Julie, Laura and Timothy Moody, Sarah and Travis Frazier, half brothers and sisters; Jerry, Mackey and Billy Stinnett, Barbara and Charlotte A gathering for family and friends will be held 10 to 11 AM Saturday June 26, 2010 with services celebrating Mrs. Golden's life following at 11 AM at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Rev. Lawrence Moody celebrating.
