Harold D. "Beau" Boatwright, 74, of Lake Placid, passed away Sunday afternoon November 13, 2011 at the Florida Hospital Lake Placid. He was born in Marion, SC to parents Everett and Snow (Lane) Boatwright. Beau served his country in the US Air Force retiring with 23 years of service then becoming a chemist with IBM. After retiring from IBM he moved to Lake Placid 15 years ago from Boca Raton, FL. Mr. Boatwright loved spending time with his family and friends. Beau is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Cecelia, daughters; Kathy McGahee (Stephen), Crystal Gainey (Dwayne) and Sherry Walters (Freddie), sons; Jerry Boatwright (Tina) and Richard Boatwright (Sandy), 8 grandchildren and 3 brothers; Tommy, Cecil and Michael. A service to celebrate Beau's life will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday (Today) November 16, 2011 at the Scott Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd.., Lake Placid with family and friends celebrating.
