Grace Constance Cooper, 80, of Lake Placid Florida passed away Wednesday evening August 26, 2020 at her residence.  Grace was born on April 22, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of Vittoria and Arnold Megna.  Grace retired from Miramar Police Department after 25 years of service.  She has been a resident of Lake Placid since 2004 moving here from Miramar Florida.  Grace loved cooking for everyone, spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She always took the time to listen and share her wisdom and humor with everyone.  Grace is survived by her loving children, Eva Cooper- Hapeman, and Mike Cooper, grandchildren, Christopher, Kyle, Megan, and her sister Barbara Starr.  A farewell gathering to celebrate and reflect on Grace's life will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd. Lake Placid.
