Gerome Randolph "Randy" Nettles, 75, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the Advent Health Lake Placid Hospital.

Randy was born on May 14, 1950, in Hampton, South Carolina. He was the son of Edna Mae (Donahue) and Victor Nettles. Randy served his country with honors In the United States Army. He has been a resident of Lake Placid since 1984, moving here from Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Randy was the owner and operator of Nettles Construction prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Placid Lake Baptist Church. Randy enjoyed playing pool, working on his motorcycle, old cars and trucks and going to the local car shows. He loved to be with his family and friends whenever they could get together, especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Randy is preceded in death by his loving mother, Edna Mae Horseman, father, Victor Nettles, stepfather, Larry Horseman, brother, Victor Nettles Jr., sister, Mederia Doran and niece, Shannon Guffey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Vicki, sons; Corey (Alicia) and Robert, six grandchildren; Caleb, Robert, Raychel, Abby, Leilanc and Brooke and his brother; Robert Nettles. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

In keeping with Randy's wishes the family will celebrate his life in private.
