Gerald (Jerry) Sauve passed away March 21, 2013 in Sebring, FL. He was preceded in death by parents, Eva Marie and Henry Sauv, brother, Edsel and sister, Betty, all from Detroit, MI. Gerald graduated from Holy Redeemer High School, Wayne State University and University of Notre Dame. He served in the Navy during World War II. He began his career in Fort Lauderdale in 1957. He worked at Ft. Lauderdale H.S., Nova H.S., Hollywood Hills H.S., Coral Springs H.S. and retired as Principal of South Broward H.S. He retired in 1989 to Lake Placid, FL where he enjoyed golf, fishing, sailing and traveling in his RV. He is survived by his wife, Jean (also a longtime Broward County Educator); son, James Browning (Yeritza); grandchildren, Noah, Josie, Emma and Sarah of Lake Placid, FL and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 13, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid, FL, 118 North Oak Street with Rev. Ray Cameron officiating. The family suggests donations in memory of Mr. Sauv be made to Meals on Wheels, Lake Placid or First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid. Arrangements entrusted to Scott Funeral Home, 465-4134
