Georgia Sue Holloway, 85, of Lake Placid, FL went to heaven on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, FL after a 4 month battle with cancer. Sue was born on October 26, 1938 in Huntington, Indiana and was the daughter of Bernice (Heeter) and George Kline. After spending many years in Indiana, she moved to Lake Placid, Florida with her husband Larry (married 65 years). She was a retired clerk, a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Syracuse, Indiana and attended the St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Episcopal Church in Lake Placid. Sue was an avid reader, enjoyed working puzzles, creating beautiful color pencil portraits, quilting, crocheting and spending time with her family. She spent many hours quilting hats and blankets for premature babies in the hospital and adults in nursing homes. Sue is preceded in death by her sister Jo Anne Dolby. She is survived by her husband Larry, daughters; Julia Bowers, Carrie Rees (Michael), son; Joel Holloway (Erin), 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, sister's Pat Heaston, and Carmen Oswald and brother Edward Kline.  A service to celebrate Sue's life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday February 10, 2024 at Scott Seawinds Funeral Home.
