Gabriel Alexander Hernandez, 24, of Lake Placid formally of Miami, went home to be with his Lord on September 21, 2025 at the Advent Health Hospital in Lake Placid.  Gabriel was a native Floridian who was born on August 17, 2001, in Hialeah.  He is the son of Carolina Sempere and Rigoberto Hernandez.  Gabriel has been a resident of Lake Placid since May 2024, moving here from Miami.  He was a Christian by faith who enjoyed trips to the Florida Everglades, fishing the local waterways and lakes, butterfly's, growing plants, and spending time with his dogs.  Gabriel loved to be with family and friends whenever they could see each other.   Gabriel is survived by his loving parents, Carolina Sempere and Rigoberto Hernandez, brother, Michael Hernandez, aunts, uncles and extended family members.  A service to celebrate Gabriel's life will be held 12 Noon, Wednesday, October 1, 2025, with Pastor Wayne Godwin officiating.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time.   Words of comfort to the family can be made by visiting www.scottfuneralservices.com.
