Francis E. Lavallie, age 94, died on July 26, 2025, in Lake Placid, Florida. His place of birth was Oakland, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid, Florida September 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM with VFW Post 4300 Military Honors.

Francis was born on October 7, 1930, in Oakland, MN to Henry and Emma Paradis LaVallie. In 1950, he graduated from high school in Albert Lea, MN. After graduation, he served two years in the Army during the Korean conflict. He completed his education at Dunwoody Industrial College and was employed by Whirlpool Corporation for 34 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Elizabeth Martin Lavallie, two sons: Dr. Mark LaVallie of St. Croix Falls, WI and Patrick LaVallie of Lake Placid, Florida. Francis has three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Scott Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Lake Placid. Interment will be at the Minnesota State Veterans' Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.
