Francis P. "Frank" Gardner Jr., 89, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Thursday May 25, 2017. Frank was the son of Francis and Marion Gardner who was born on September 16, 1927 in Jersey City, NJ. Frank served his country with honors in the US Navy during WWII. He went to work for AT&T where he retired as a manager/ foreman. After retiring from AT&T, Frank moved to Lake Placid from Miami 35 years ago. Frank enjoyed working around the house and being outdoors. He loved to be with his family, spending time with them on family activities. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years Dorothy, daughter: Anne M. Gardner, son: Richard Gardner and a sister; Joan Kelly. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Frank's life will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the St. James Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive Lake Placid with Father Victor Caviedes officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid.
