Frances Elaine Fralix, 80, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on June 3, 2025, at her residence.  Elaine was a native Floridian who was born in Pahokee on August 10, 1944.  She was the daughter of Merle (Tucker) and Hovas Prevatt.  Elaine has been a resident of Lake Placid since 2008, moving here from Okeechobee.  She was a retired Executive Administrator with the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Department where she worked for 29 years.  Elaine was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Josephine in Sebring, who enjoyed going to church, gardening around the house, playing the piano at her home church in Okeechobee, singing gospel music, and family outings.  Elaine is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert, daughter, Beverly Renee Fralix and she is survived by her loving daughters, Robyn Cook and April Craig (Nick), four grandchildren, Naomi Cook, Zane Cook, Elizabeth Craig and Sarah Craig, a sister, Marilyn Prevatt and a brother, Jim Prevatt.  The family will celebrate Elaine's life at a later date.
