Obituary

Floyd Jack Mayhew, 80, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Friday morning November 27, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. Floyd was the son of Edith Haver and Floyd Augustus Mayhew who was born on January 17, 1935 in Flushing, MI. He served his country with honors in the US Air Force. He was a route man for the Frito Lay Potato Company with forty years of service before retiring. He moved to Lake Placid in 1977 from Bradenton. Floyd enjoyed a good days work and fishing. He loved to be with his family and friends. Mr. Mayhew was of the Christian Faith. Mr. Mayhew is preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years Nancy and he is survived by his loving sons, Christopher and Scott Mayhew and four grandchildren. Services to celebrate Floyd's life will be private for the family. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Pioneer Cemetery at the Township of South Branch, MI.
