Ezequiel Acosta, 83, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at his residence. Ezequiel was born on December 7, 1941, in Havana, Cuba and he was the son of Ana (Martinez) and Julian Acosta. He has been a resident of Lake Placid since 2004, moving here from Orlando and California. Ezequiel was a retired line worker with the Wynns Oil Company. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ezequiel enjoyed boxing, riding his bike, fishing both fresh and saltwater and baseball. He loved to be with his family and friends whenever they could get together, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ezequiel is survived by his loving children; Marlene Penagos, Damarys Oliva, Ezequiel Jr., seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two on there way "twins", and three sisters.
