Ernest M. Emmert. 83, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord Thursday May 8, 2014 at the Lake Placid Health Care Center. He was born on February 19, 1931 in Portsmouth, OH to parents Helen (Falls) and Walter Emmert. Mr. Emmert served his country in the US Army. A retired heavy equipment operator Mr. Emmert moved to Lake Placid in 2013 from Ohio. He was of the Christian Faith. Mr. Emmert enjoyed working and flying his R/C airplanes and loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Kelly; son, Ernest D. Emmert; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 sister and 2 brothers. Funeral services to celebrate Ernest's =for the family were held.
