Ellie Green, 66, of Lake Placid, FL, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Advent Health Lake Placid Hospital. She was born to Sylvester and Pierette Sneidar on September 9, 1957, in Bethesda, Maryland. Ellie has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 20 years, moving here from Hollywood, Florida. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid. Ellie enjoyed music, reading, movies, cooking, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whenever they could get together. Ellie is preceded by her parents, and her two sisters, Nancy Sneidar and Edie Salitrero, in addition to her parents-in-law, Taft and Margaret Green. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Danny; daughters, Kerry Varner and Kathy Menke; son, Taft "T.J." Green; and seven grandchildren; as well as her two brothers, Robert "Bob" Sneidar, and Andre "Andy" Sneidar. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Diane Hill and Deena Brito, and her brother-in-law, David Green. A funeral service to celebrate Ellie's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid, located at 118 N. Oak Avenue, Lake Placid, Florida, 33852 with Pastor Ray Cameron officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery at 90 St. John Street in Lake Placid, with a reception afterwards to celebrate Ellie's life.
