Obituary

Elden Earl Peters "Earl", 88 of Bonita Spring formally of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday evening August 7, 2018 at this residence.  Earl was the son of Erna (Block) and John Peters; he was born on March 16, 1930 in Glencoe, Minnesota.  He served his country with honors in the U.S. Army.  Earl was a retired mill wright with US Steel.  After his retirement Earl moved to Lake Placid in 1993.  Earl was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid and First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs. He was a volunteer with Little Lambs Prison Ministry and Potter's House.  He enjoyed carving birds from wood and making paper beads. He loved to be with his family and friends.  Earl is survived by his loving wife Patsy, of over 12 years daughters; Nancy Bernal, Valerie Curran, Susan Breen, Kathlynn Ocana, step-daughters; Robin Ostertag, Wendy Key Buxton, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and brother; Robert Peters.  He was preceded in death by sister; Amy, brother; Rob and a grandchild; Jeffery Scott Ocana.  A service to celebrate Earl's life will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid 118 N. Oak Avenue Lake Placid with Rev. Ray Cameron officiating. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid or Hope Hospice of Bonita Springs.
