Edwin Eugene Cromer, 83, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at his residence.  Edwin was born on July 12, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio and was the son of Ruby (Turner) and Harry L. Cromer.  He served his country with honors in the United States Navy.  Edwin has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 19 years, moving here from Dayton after retiring as both an insurance and machinery salesman.  Edwin was of the Methodist faith and attended the Lakeview Christian Church in Lake Placid.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking, singing, reading a great book and a good round of golf.  He loved to sit on his porch, talking to his neighbors, being with his family and friends anytime they could get together.  Edwin is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Marilyn, daughter; Kay Cromer (Emily), son; Bryan Cromer and granddaughter; Nikki Cochran.  A service to celebrate Edwin's life will be held later this fall at the Tropical Harbor Club House
