Edward L. Hazelman, 71, of Lake Placid, FL and Pekin, IL went to be with his Lord early Sunday morning January 24, 2016.

Edward was the son of Alice Luick and Oscar Hazelman who was born on March 18, 1944 in Pekin, IL. Mr. Hazelman served his country with honors in the US Army. Edward was a retired computer systems analyst with Caterpillar with 35 years of service. Edward started coming to Lake Placid as a winter resident in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, a good round of golf and loved to be with his family and friends. Edward was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion and attended the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake Placid.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Patricia; daughter, Deb; son, Doug; 3 grandchildren and a brother Floyd Hazelman.

A memorial service to celebrate Edward's life will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Pastor Tim Haas officiating. Further services will take place this spring in Pekin, IL. The family suggests donations in Edward's memory to the American Heart Association.
