Obituary
Edward (Ed) J. Miks, 79, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on early Thursday morning December 31, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of Josephine (Borger) and Edward Miks, Ed was born on May 20, 1936 in Jackson Heights, NY.
Ed served in the US Marines. Ed retired as a mechanic with Eastern Airlines starting his career in New York and retiring from the Miami base. He enjoyed spending time with friends at the American Legion and loved to be with his family. Mr. Miks was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by companion of over 30 years, Lorraine Russell; daughters, Bonnie and Jacquelin Melkowits (James); sons, John, Jeffrey and Mark; grandchildren Jeremy, David, Cassie and Emily, great grandchildren Braydon and Jaxson. A service to celebrate Edward's life will be held at a later date.
