Obituary

Edith Danielle "DeeDee" Kilborn Wirick, 44, of Loxahatchee, loving wife, devoted mother, fabulous sister and doting aunt died Wed., Jan. 12 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg after a brief illness.

DeeDee was born in Avon Park and spent most of her life in Sebring and Lake Placid before moving to Palm Beach County in early 2001. As a child, she attended Fred Wild Elementary and Sebring Middle schools and graduated from New Prospect private school in Sebring in 1983.

She was a former office cashier at Publix in Lake Placid before becoming a dental assistant at the Smile Emporium in Sebring. She later worked at Florida Hospital Heartland.

She was of the Protestant faith.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Daniel A. son, Christopher D. and daughter Kelsi D. and step-son Daniel. Survivors also include her sister, Rosemarie Dowell of Leesburg and brothers, Steve Kilborn of Ohio and Charles Kilborn of Pennsylvania. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends and loved ones.

DeeDee loved Danny with all her heart and was especially proud of him and his accomplishments. She was also proud of Christopher who inherited her easy going personality, charm and willingness to help others and Kelsi for her beauty, both inside and out, as well as her academic achievements. DeeDee's warm friendly smile and generous, loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who truly knew her.

A graveside service to celebrate DeeDee's life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday January 16, 2011 at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Brett Morey celebrating.
