Douglas Mason Frith, 53, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Thursday afternoon September 11, 2014 at his residence. Douglas was born on March 2, 1961 in Roanoke, VA to parents Joyce (Mason) and James B. Frith. Douglas was a general mechanic who could work on just about anything. He move to Lake Placid in 1993 from Rocky Mount, VA and was of the Baptist faith. Douglas enjoyed building model boats, crafts and loved spending time with both his family and friends. Douglas is survived by his two daughters; Summer and Britney, parents; Joyce and James Frith, sister; Susan Hall and brother; Dennis Frith. A service to celebrate Douglas life will be held at a later date in Rocky Mount, VA.
