Dorothy Gaynor Morse, 82, of Lake Placid, FL went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday night, November 19, 2025, at the Good Shephard Hospice House in Sebring. Dorothy was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on April 29, 1943, and she was the daughter of Buna Zelma (Coffey) and Jennings Kern Beam. Dorothy has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 14 years, moving here from Palm Beach after retiring as a manager of her husband's business Kimberly Credit Counseling. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid, who enjoyed doing arts and crafts, working with stained glass with her sister Sandy at their custom stained-glass studio "Sistars". Dorothy loved playing with her two cats and collecting ceramic and porcelain cat figurines. Dorothy and Calvin spent their summers traveling to North Carolina to spend time on Lake Norman and their summer home in Tennessee. Dorothy enjoyed being with her family and friends whenever they could all get together, especially time with her grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Jack and Guy Beam. She is survived by her loving husband who she has known for thirty years Calvin, daughter, Kimberly Morse, two grandchildren, Shyla and Mazzy and two sisters, Sandy Dahlhofer and Clara (CJ) Gibson.
