Dorothy Grace Lucas, 92, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Monday morning November 16, 2015 at her residence. She was the daughter of Nellie (Jewell) and Stephen Alexander McInnis, who was born on September 17, 1923 in Odum, Georgia. A resident of Hialeah, Mrs. Lucas moved to Lake Placid from Stuart in December 23, 2012. Mrs. Lucas was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stuart. She enjoyed cooking especially chicken and dumplings, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and working as a CNA and loved to be with her family and friends. Mrs. Lucas is preceded in death by her loving husband Joe Lucas, he also passed away on November 16, 1977 and a brother Jack Dix. She is survived by her loving sons, Stephen H. Lucas, wife Bette Lucas, David A. Lucas, wife, Cheryl Lucas and Richard Lucas, wife, Ruby; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild. A service to celebrate Mrs. Lucas' life will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 23, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Stuart 201 SW Ocean Blvd., Stuart, FL with Dr. Darrell Orman and Pastor Nick Bennett officiating.
