Donna Mae Leonard, 65, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning January 2, 2013 at the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring. She was born on April 26, 1947 in Hector, MN to parents Minnie (Johnson) and Edwin Buboltz. She moved to Naples in 1970 then to Lake Placid in 1983 from Naples, FL where she was a school teacher with the Collier County Public Schools system. Mrs. Leonard was active with the Lake Placid Elks Lodge 2661 where she was a member of the Ladies of the Elks, a graduate of the Toby Clowns College, enjoyed volunteering at the Florida Hospital Lake Placid and received a Kentucky Colonel award for her volunteer service in the community. Mrs. Leonard was a Lutheran by faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Leonard is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Keith and is survived by her loving husband of 30 years James H.; brother, Charles Buboltz and several nephews, Gregory, Robin and Tim Buboltz. A service to celebrate Donna's life will be held on 11 AM Saturday January 12, 2013 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Rev. Richard A. Norris officiating followed by a Ladies of the Elks service. In lieu of flowers the family sugest donations be made in memory of Donna to the Lady of the Elks with The Florida Elks Children Hospital written in the memo.
