Dolores L. Buyea, 82, of Sebring went to be with her Lord on Saturday afternoon December 27, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 5, 1932 in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of Helen (Lezekala) and Boleslow Lenkiewicz.

Mrs. Buyea had a passion for nursing and had a long career as a registered nurse. She moved to Highlands County in 1987 from upstate New York with her husband James. Mrs. Buyea was of the Catholic faith. She was an avid reader who enjoyed a good novel and loved being at home spending time with her family. Mrs. Buyea was one of twelve children.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband James and ten sisters and brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Bauder, Cheryl Lewis and Candice Forthofer (Nicholas); sons, James Buyea (Sally), Michael Buyea (Cynthia) and Gerald Buyea; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Reif and a brother Bill Lenkiewicz.

A private service to celebrate Mrs. Buyea's life will be held by the family.
