David Lee Wade, passed away January 9, 2024. David was born to Dwight C. Wade and Kathryn (McManaway), on March 19, 1935, in Cambridge, OH. Graduated in 1953 and attended Otterbein College, Westerville, Ohio on a football scholarship. He then joined the Marine Corps and married his high school sweetheart Zoe Morgan. After discharging from military they returned to Cambridge, Ohio where he worked for his father at Seneca Plastics. In 1967 they relocated to Florida where he became partners in Bell Corp of America. After retiring he became director of maintenance at Manor Care of Florida, moving to Lake Placid, FL in 2003. He loved boating (his whole life), a cold PBR, a cigar and his many friends. He is survived by his loving wife Zoe married 69 years December 22, 2023, his daughters; Sheree Wade Partridge (David), Lori Wade Sisk, son; David Curt Wade, 7 grandchildren; Nicole (Josh) Gower, Derek (Yami) Partridge, Dustin (Krystal) Partridge, Jessica (Jacob) Widner, Taylor Sisk, Vanessa and Sean Wade, with 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, Predeceased by his father Dick, mother Kathryn, brother, Ted Wade, sister, Bertie Lou Caldwell. He was a Mason, Shriner, American Legion and Elk. He loved his dog Ty and the Lake Life! Hey Zoe!. A service to celebrate David's life will be held February 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the American Legion Placid Post 25, 1490 US 27 North, Lake Placid.
