David Brian Kotchman, 56, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Florida Hospital Lake Placid.  David was the son of Nancy Jo (Hupp) and Paul Kotchman who was born on October 17, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio.  David served his country with honor in the US Air Force.  David worked as a dispatcher with the TDK Auto Transport Company.  He as been a resident of Lake Placid, for twelve years, some as a winter resident.  David enjoyed taking care of the love of his life John.  David is preceded in death by his brother Mike.  He is survived by his husband John Lacy, parents Paul and Nancy, sister; Niki Pearce, brother; Don Kotchman, sister-in-law; Vivian and several nieces and nephews.  A gathering for family and friends to celebrate and reflect on David's life will be held from 4PM to 8PM on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid, FL.  The family suggests donations in David's memory to the Human Society of Highlands County.
