David (Dave) King, of Clewiston, FL, died March 1, 2022, at the age of 87. He was a kind and loving husband, son, father, brother, and grandfather, supportive friend and lived his entire life wanting to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible.

Dave was born July 17, 1934, in New Philadelphia. He graduated from Midvale High School and then was in the United States Navy, where he served our country and was a proud United States Veteran. He then continued with a long successful career with GTE Ohio until his retirement in 1990. He liked to share stories of the traveling he did with the company long after his retirement.

Outside of work, Dave loved the outdoors and spent many years training and showing Appaloosa horses with his wife Patricia and son Mark and was a horse show judge for many years. He was an avid fisherman and had the opportunity to compete as an angler in several fishing tournaments and was a proud supporter of his son's angling career. In 2003 he moved to Florida with his son and daughter in law to allow more time to enjoy all the great fishing Lake Okeechobee had to offer. He was dog lover and spending time with his grand dog Kensey was one of his favorite past times, we have no doubt was greeted in heaven by the wagging tails of Megan, Kody & Kelsey. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family especially the opportunities to travel to the mountains of Georgia with his son and daughter in law.

Dave is survived by his son, Mark King and his daughter in law Diane King of Clewiston, FL; his grandchildren: Amber Clay (Keith Scoggins) of Warrior, AL, Nina Parson (Keith McMillan) of Parma, OH, and Bruce Parson (Barb) of Bradenton, FL; his great grandchildren, Jonathan Clay of Warrior, AL and Amelia Zimmerman of Bradenton, FL, Sister-in-Law Madge King, several nieces, and nephews as well as many other family and friends across the country.

Dave was preceded in death by his Wife, Patricia King (Sullivan); his parents, Robert & Dorothy King; and his brother, Robert King. Memorial Services will be held at a later date this summer in Ohio.
