Daniel Yuhascik, 90, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center.  Daniel was the son of Joseph and Mary Yuhascik who was born on March 23, 1929 in Johnstown, PA. Mr. Yuhascik served his country with honor in the US Army during Korea.  Daniel was a retired contractor working in the construction industry. He moved to the Lake Placid area in 1980 from Johnstown. Daniel was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid and the American Legion Placid Post 25.  He enjoyed taking his car rides to different places, seeing new sites, a good round of golf and a great game of billiards. Daniel loved to be with his family and friends especially his grand and great-grandchildren anytime they could get together.  Daniel is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Helen and a son, Patrick. He is survived by his loving children Michele Williams (Jimmy) and Daniel Yuhascik, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass to celebrate Daniel's life will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday May 16, 2019 at the St. James Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive Lake Placid with Father Vincent Clemente officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. James Gardens where he will be laid to rest with his wife Helen.
