Daniel E. Mitchell, 60, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Thursday evening November 24, 2016 at his residence. Daniel was the son of Ruth Andis and James Mitchell who was born on January 31, 1956 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Daniel was a food server in the restaurant industry for many years. He enjoyed fishing and a good round of golf. Daniel was of Protestant faith. Daniel is preceded in death by his loving father, James Mitchell, brother, Steven Mitchell, niece Sherri Mitchell and is survived by his loving mother, Ruth Mitchell; sister-in-law, Kathy Mitchell; nephew, Jeremy Mitchell, many cousins and great niece, Emily and great nephew Ethan. A service to celebrate Daniel's life will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday (today), November 30, 2016 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Pastor Jeffery Taylor officiating
