Cornelious John Willemse, 87,  of Harsens Island, Michigan went home to be with his Lord on Monday,  December 13, 2021 at the Orchid Cove at  Lake  Placid, Florida.  Cornelious (Neil) was born on June 2, 1934, in Boston, Massachusetts.  He was the son of Ann (Keysper) and Jan Willemse.  He was a retired tool and die maker with the Ford Motor company where he worked for many years.  Neil was an active member at his church, the Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge, all in Michigan.  He enjoyed coaching little league baseball/basketball, fishing the local lakes and a good round of golf. He love to be with his family and friends anytime they could get together, especially time with his grand and great-grandchildren.  Cornelious is survived by the love of his life of 66 years Marlene, sons; Kenneth (Susan), Michael (Heidi), Neal (Kathleen), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date in Michigan.  Words of comfort to the family can be made by visiting www.scottfuneralservices.com .  Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Scott Funeral Home, Lake Placid, FL 863-465-4134.
