Clarence W. Carrel, Jr., "Clancy", 83 of Lake Placid, FL, passed away December 6, 2020 at Advent Health Sebring. He was born in Columbus, OH on February 1, 1937 to Clarence W. Carrel, Sr. and Esther (Varner) Carrel. Mr. Carrel was a Corporate Secretary in the Food Retail Business and was a proud 1954-1962 US Navy Veteran and very dedicated to his country and helping veterans. He was a life member and past 1 st Vice Commander of Amvets Post 89, Columbus, OH, member of Eagles 2252, American Legion Post 25, Lake Placid. Mr. Carrel had his pilot's license and loved the art of flying, and he was very passionate about woodworking and was an avid jigsaw puzzle maker. Mr. Carrel was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and he was a true gentleman in every way and had a smile and handshake for everyone he met. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marjorie M. (Clemens) Carrel; children, Valerie Duff, Victoria Isenberger (Steven), Kathrine Brazil, Thomas Morehart (Darlene), adopted daughter, Kathy Lauersdorf; Sister, Shirley Shultz (Robert); Father-In-Law, Wesley G. Clemens; Sister-In-Law, Linda (Clemens) Stratton (Mark); Brother-In-Laws, Edward Clemens (Deborah), Wesley L. Clemens (Susi), Jeffrey A. Clemens (Melissa); 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Carrel was preceded in death by his parents and son, Richard W. Carrel; and Mother-In-Law, Mary H.
