Christine L. Yarbour, 67, of Venus went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring.  Christine was the daughter of Bernice (Root) and J. Merritt Houck who was born on September 21, 1950 in Columbus, OH.  Christine has been a resident of Venus for the past 16 years moving here from Ft. Lauderdale.  She was an accountant, an accomplish artist, and author who had several children's books published.  She was a member of the Lake Placid Art League Co-Op and the Florida Writers Association.  Christine was of the Christian Faith.  She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Carl Yarbour, sisters; Patty Black (Paul) and Joy Merchant, a brother; John Houck (Kathy) and several nieces and nephews.  A service to celebrate Christine's life will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W.
