Christine Amy Bowles, 97, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on August 27, 2020 at The Palms of Sebring Health Care Center.  Christine was born in Nassau, Bahamas and moved to Miami, FL in 1953 where she became a United States citizen in 1958.  She has been a resident of Lake Placid, FL since October 2002 moving here from South Miami. She was an excellent homemaker, gardener and seamstress. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and sharing a delicious home cooked meal.  She is survived by her sister, Irene Lucille Heller of Easton, Maryland as well as 21 nieces and nephews and many more great nieces and great nephews. Christine is preceded in death by her son, Robert Charles Sweeting and daughter in law, Deborah A. Sweeting, and sisters and brothers in law, Elizabeth Virginia (Jeanne), (Lisbon) Higgs, Mary Estelle (Ewell) Hayworth, Amaryllis Ruth (Sam) Malone and Isabelle Elinor (Bradley) Roberts.

In keeping with Christine's wishes a service to celebrate her life is to be private for the family.
