Charles (Charlie) H. Rogers, 70, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Sunday afternoon March 22, 2015 at Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring. Charlie, who was born on January 27, 1945 in Mobile, Alabama, was the son of Gladys and Franklin Rogers. He was a resident of Lake Placid for the past 31 years, moving from Atlanta. Charlie was a retired Telephone Repair Technician with Sprint/CenturyLink. Charlie was a Christian man that enjoyed fishing and riding his lawn mower. He especially enjoyed being with his three granddaughters, driving them in the Pepaw Express to the many sporting events that they played in. Charlie loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Cathy; daughter, Jessica Forde (James); sons, James Rogers (Tara), Jeff Rogers, John Rogers, Joey Rogers (Danielle); 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a brother, Michael Rogers. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM Friday March 27, 2015 with funeral services to celebrate Charlie's life beginning at 2:00 PM with Linda Quarles celebrating.
