Deacon Charles J. Comito, 79, of Lake Placid, passed on Sunday, August 16th, surrounded by his loving family. The son of Lucielle sommantico and Peter Comito, Charles was born in Newark, NJ June 28th 1936. Charles was a retired educator and family life lecturer with the diocese of Trenton NJ. He was a resident of Lake Placid area for the past 5 years. He was a member of the Italian American Club, the Knights of Columbus and St. James Catholic Church. Charles is predeceased by his wife Barbara of 39 years. Deacon Charlie is survived by his three children, Mark J. Comito (Alona), Suzanne L. Comito- Saccente (Onofrio). Donna A. Comito; five grandchildren, Shawn, Gianna, Mia, Isabella, Nicholas; one great-grandchild, Aleiah. A mass of catholic burial will be held to celebrate his life Friday August 21st at 1pm at St. James Roman Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive, Lake Placid with Father Michael Cannon.
